Troy is located 30 km south to Çanakkale at the mound ‘Hisarlik’ on the east side of the river Scamander, where the Dardanelles strait join with the Agean Sea.
You can get there by dolmush which is going to Tefvikiye from the bridge on Ataturk Cad (3 times a day, 30 minutes in a way).

A large number of tourists visit the site each year, mostly coming from Istanbul by bus or by ferry via Çanakkale.
We arrived to Troy by our excursionn bus on the way from Ayvalik. The distance is about 40 km. It took us about half an hour.
