Do not recall: "Peeping Holes', BEWARE!" Cusco Hotel Tip by drumachn

Don't get me wrong, the stay in this Cusco hotel was very comfortable and snug. It was maybe a 5 minute walk to the plaza and they had great breakfast. Unbenounced to my girlfriend, 2 female friends and myself, a male traveler, there were little holes strategically drilled right under the door knobs and indented areas of the door. I was able to recognize the hole while sitting at the foot of the bed and realizing that light was entering under the door knob. Unfortunately, this was the last night we were staying. I brought it up to the manager at 3:00am, forcing him to get out of his cozy bed at home to explain this to me. The individual did not seem to care too much. He discounted our stay but not after 45 minutes of arguing. There were 5 other rooms that had holes in the doors. So, please pay attention to this minor, yet intrusive detail when travelling anywhere. Other than that, my experience in Cusco was memorable.

Unique Qualities: Peeping holes in doors.
