This building was once the site of the Hubei Advisory Bureau during the Qing dynasty when it was built in 1910. On October 10th 1911, revolutionists of Hubei, who were under the direction of Sun Yat-Sen successfully launched the Wuchang Uprising. The next day it was here that the revolutionists established the Hubei Military Government of the Military Government of the Republic of China and declared the reign of Emperor Xuantong of the Qing dynasty was abolished and that the Republic of China was founded. Inside the building you can find a large conference hall, offices and department rooms. A statue of Sun Yat-Sen stands outside the building?s entrance.
