Yellow Crane Tower, Wuhan: 24 reviews and 53 photos

Wuhan's most famous landmark, the Yellow Crane Tower was first built in the second year of Huangwu of Wu during the Three Kingdoms period (223 A.D.). According to legend, it was built to honour one of the Daoist Eight Immortals, who paid his tavern bills by drawing cranes on the walls, which would fly down to entertain the other guests. This particular 5-storey 164ft (50 meter) high tower is a reconstruction of the original tower that burned down in 1884.
