The platform around the town parish church served as cemetery. As it was small, the bones of the defunct were excavated after a while and stored in an ossuary to save space. The vaulted ground floor of the building behind the church's choir, still named Kerner, served for this purpose. Nowadays there are no bones in it any more, it is used by the choirs of the parish for their rehearsals and for other community meetings.
