this historic home was built by jean pascal in 1788. the pascal house is one of the oldest surviving creole homes in the french quarter and is listed on the national register of historic places. this historic building is owned by the louisiana state museum and is open to the public. the building gets it's name from a character in george washington cable's novel "tite poulette". cable was a popular late 19th century novelist who wrote about creole life in new orleans.
