"Bus from Bratislava airport" Vienna Transportation Tip by Andrew_W_K

Many visitors to Vienna fly in to Bratislava on the low cost airlines. There are a couple of choices for buses to Vienna. The Teravision service is the more direct taking 90 minutes but they don't run so frequently. I arrived on a flight that landed at 14:30 but the next Teravision bus wasn't until 16:30. The other alternative is the Slovak Lines or Euro Lines that run more often but take around 2 hours. The bus costs 8 euros one way (and 1 euro for luggage) and goes from the airport back to the main bus station in Bratislava before going on to Vienna. It then takes the normal road to Vienna calling at Hainburg and another Austrian town and then Vienna airport before arriving at Sudtiroler Platz bus terminal in Vienna. I took this bus both ways and it was a good service. One word of caution, there were some guys on board drinking beer and one of them jumped off at Vienna airport to use the toilet and nearly missed the bus as the driver wouldn't wait. So don't drink beer on the bus!
