The Sinagua (meaning "without water") culture flourished in the Valley Verde around 600 AD to 1400 AD. However, after 1400 the Sinagua left the Valle Verde. But, the Sinagua left their legacies by the presence of the Rock Art.
You can find rock artson rock panels all over the Red Rock Country.
Rock Art includes:
1. Petroglyphs (pecked or scratched images)
2. Pictorgraphs (painted images)
There are no known true meaning of rock art. There are interpretations about the rock art though. It could mean clan signs. Or, just like in the old days, for the people to remember days. Hence, they are interpreted as calendars. Or sometimes, the rock art is the commemoratin of events.
