Paris Off The Beaten Path: 1,968 reviews and 4,171 photos
Salvador Dali created this sundial in 1968, supposedly for friends that owned the shop at the corner where the sundial is placed. The top of the head represents a scallop (coquille st. Jacques) in allusion to the street where it is and also to St. Jacques de Compostelle.
Situated at 27 rue St. Jacques 75005 Paris, on the other side of the road and a little higher than the St. Severin church. Easier to see if you're coming from Blvd St. Germain north towards the Seine.
Nearest metro is Cluny-Sorbonne.
