"Sydney Tower" Sydney Tower Tip by clueless83
Sydney Tower, Sydney: 87 reviews and 130 photos
While we were in Sydney we took a trip up the tower. When you go up the tower you can purchase tickets for different things, we chose to go to the observation deck and do Oz Trek but we didn't bother with the Sky Walk.
The observation deck gives you a 360 degree view of the city. I'm glad I did it but to be perfectly honest, if you're expecting to get some amazing birds eye view photographs of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House you will be disappointed because there is a big building in the way between the two. If you look at my photos you can just about see the bridge to the left of the building and the opera house to the right. As with any attraction there is a cafe and gift shop in the tower.
The Oz Trek experience was quite good, a little different. We were taken into these little rooms and given head sets and watched little semi-3D shows. Our seat blocks rotated so all the little groups watched different shows at different times. From there we were then taken into a theatre with rollercoaster seats for the Oz Trek experience which is described as "The largest simulated ride in the southern hemisphere and the only one of its kind in Australia."
Oz Trek takes you on a virtual adventure around Australia and as well as the 3D screen infront of you there is also surround sound and the rollercoaster chair you are sitting in will move as you soar over the landscape!
Tickets are around $25 for adults
