Uppsala Concert and Congress Hall is located at Vaksalagatan near Vaksalatorget (Vaksala Square) just 50 meters from the Railway Station in the heart of the city of Uppsala. It is one of the cultural landmarks of Uppsala city.
Uppsala Concert and Congress Hall was constructed between 2004 and 2007 and was designed by Henning Larsen Architects. The six storey building has a total area of approximately 14,500 square meters and is 37 meter tall. Its metallic facades are made of titanium that look like a large crystal cube from the end of Valsaltorget.
It is home to several concert and conference halls, the largest of which has a seating capacity for approximately 1,200 spectators. Other amenities in the concert and congress hall are a large banquet and exhibition hall which is opened to the public including a café located on the ground floor and foyer at the fifth floor just outside the main hall with a spectacular view of the city of Uppsala.
