Although we liked walking along the promenade at Barceloneta beach the target group of all the cafes there is the tourists. This means high prices, bad service (we were waiting 25 minutes to order in one of them!) and no locals around. It’s worth though to visit at least one café but not waste all your time (and money here). Of course it’s nice to have your drink on the beach (pic 1) or even on windy day inside near the window (pic 2). As you can see there are always people lying on the sand :)
