"Temple of Aphaia" Aegina Island Things to Do Tip by wilocrek

Aegina Island Things to Do: 49 reviews and 113 photos

Sitting on top of one of the highest point in Aegina with the island and the Agean Sea as a backdrop, the Temple of Aphaia is a symbol of Greek perfection. With its classic Greek architecture and its quiet setting among the pine trees this beautiful Greek temple is well worth the thirty minute bus ride from the marina. It Greece of your dreams and it doesn't take much to imagine how it would of been during its time....perched high above the sea...as though trying to reach the Gods. To not take the time to visit the Temple of Aphaia would be to deprive yourself of seeing what made the Greeks magnificent.
