"Malostransky hrbitov (cemetery)" Malonstransky Cemetery Tip by Veroali
Malonstransky Cemetery, Prague: 2 reviews and 4 photos
The cemetery was created in 1680 during plague epidemic, which remains also a plague pillar. But the history of the cemetery had not last long and 1884 was abolished. Today's look affects melancholic, even poetic impress. The tombstones are covered by ivy-berry (Hedera helix) and you will not see any candles on fire.
Our famous poet Jan Neruda got the inspiration for one of his book right here.
The cemetery is located near cottage Bertramka, between city parts Smichov and Kosire.
Address: Plzeňská street
Directions: Smichov/Kosire, trams from Andel towards the station Bertramka
