Uppland Museum (Uplands Museet in Swedish) is located at the bank of Fyris River in the heart of the city of Uppsala very near to such attractions as Uppsala Cathedral and Saluhallen and tourist information office.
The museum is housed in an old water mill which dates to the 18th century. There are three floors of exhibition spaces in the building. The museum exhibits the history of Uppsala in particular and Uppland county in general from the Middle Ages right up to modern day Uppsala. Collections of various artifacts, objects and old photographs are on display ranging from folk music and costumes to folk art.
Opening hours are between 12.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. daily except Monday which is closed. Admission to the museum is free. Take the opportunity to visit this outstanding museum when you are in Uppsala!
