Excellent recommendation, which I'm happy to pass on.

Newtonmore is a few miles south of Aviemore, but it's a good option if the Aviemore places are busy (as happens "in season").

We had 2 rooms and both were top class. Warm, comfortable and well appointed. TV with DVD player in the rooms. Coffee and tea making equipment too (plus biscuits).

Our room had a sofa as well.

The decor (bathrooms included) is very tasteful. You even get the little toiletries you'd expect in a 4-5 star hotel!

Breakfast (8-9 most days) was great - the usual choices of cooked food, fruit, cereal, porridge etc.

We paid £100 for 1 night for 2 rooms (1 single + 1 double occupancy) breakfast included. A real steal - out of season (early March) admittedly.

Their website has pictures of the rooms, so you can choose what you want (subject to availability of course.

Unique Qualities: The decor and the friendly welcome.
