"Shopping at the airport?" Field's Tip by liggjash
Field's, Copenhagen: 4 reviews and 1 photos
When at Kastrup airport, and you intend to look for some shopping, look no further as there is a large shopping center a couple of train stops away from the airport with much better choices and prices. Virtually just tobacco is cheaper at the airport.
From the baggage hall at the airport, you walk straight ahead through the terminal until you see the exit on both sides to the train. By a ticket for 2 zones either in the machine or at the desk (just ask for Field's shopping center). Walk down to the train stop. Make sure you chose the exit NOT marked Malmø, or you'll end up in Sweden. If the train is marked Nivå or Helsingør, you are on the right track, literally.
Ride to the second train stop called Ørestad, and you're at Field's shopping center.
If you have time to spare, you should forget about shopping at the airport, as the prices are outrageous on most items.
What to buy: Field's is an enormous mall with all sorts of shops. For something really danish, try the supermarket and look for food items.
Danish made cookies and chocolates are nice. Winegums too. Fish lovers can buy nice pickled herring in jars. A fast lunch on the street should involve a traditional hot dog from one of the street vendors.
What to pay: Scandinavia is not cheap, but looking for local products will get you a nice price.
