Restaurant/bar El Maco is located next to the reception and it's open every day of the week. Using only natural materials and nicely decorated gives a lovely homely feel. The upper level has several hammocks where you can relax before and after your meal.

The restaurant is led by René's wife Paloma who prepares delicious, healthy meals with organic ingredients produced on the farm. From breakfast to dinner, all the dishes are freshly made. They serve Italian and other international dishes (Thai curries, miso soup, Swiss hash brown potatoes, French crêpes, pizzas, lasagna...) and local specialities. They also offer daily fresh home made bread (it was still warm when they brought it on the table in the morning) and home made marmalades.

Favorite Dish: I loved their breakfasts, they are most delicious!! There are three choices but the absolute winner was natural. It consisted of a big plate of chopped up fruits (mango, papaya, pineapple, melon, watermelon, banana, strawberries and apple), butter, home made marmalade, a basket of home made bread, a glass of home made yoghurt, granola and a cup of chocolate or coffee. Pure delight!!! I did not want to change anything so I had the same breakfast during my entire stay.

Dinners were also very delicious in El Maco. The first evening I wasn't very hungry as I had quite a big lunch early in the afternoon. A cup of hot miso soup did it perfectly well. The second evening I had Thai curry with vegetables (accompanied by rice) which was properly prepared and absolutely delicious!! They say Paloma's cooking balances body and soul and this is very much true.

Breakfast was 5.000 COP and Thai curry with vegetables 12.000 COP.
