Sanchiri Mirador and Lodge: "Lodging with Views in Orosi Valley" Top 5 Page for this destination Costa Rica Hotel Tip by monica71

I did a lot of research and reading before deciding where we should stay while in Orosi Valley and I am so glad we chose this place! This is a family operation and the owners are knowledgable and dedicated to making visitors happy.
There are few hotel rooms and few cabins (same price for all) where you can sleep. We paid 60 US dollars per night, 2 adults, all taxes and breakfast included.
We decided to rent a cabin (cabin 14). The cabin was huge, on 2 levels, and very comfortable. The room had 2 beds: one queen size and one double. There is no TV in the room (TVs were supposed to be installed by March 2009), but this did not bothered us at all. The bathroom is huge, with a big shower and hot water all the time. The bathroom is on the lover level of the cabin, so if you do not like the idea of going down few stairs to use the bathroom, rent a hotel room. The balcony gives you great views of the valley (considering the weather is nice and sunny). Unfortunately during our stay the weather was not that good and it rained a lot, therefore we just got a partial view of the valley.
The lodge is easy to find, there are signs leading you towards it, and the location can not be beat.
The rooms are very clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the restaurant serves excellent food (100% organic and prepared fresh). There is free Internet for all the hotel guests in case you need to use it.
The area is very quiet and I can honestly say that this is the place we slept the best during our vacation in Costa Rica. The air is very clean and strong (you can feel it) and your appetite will increase accordingly :)
The breakfast comes with the price of the room and it is very good. Come to think of it, this is the only place we visited in Costa Rica where we really could not finish eating everything from the plate they gave us due to huge amounts of food that they serve you in the morning. Their lunch and dinner portions are big too. The food is unbelievable and very reasonably priced.
This is one place I can honestly say you will not regret visiting while in Costa Rica!
And BTW: Besides overnight clients, Sanchiri also serves as a stopping place for tour groups and locals who savor the food and views. This hotel/restaurant is a place of peace and tranquility, of meditation in the midst of nature, and of professional service. All the staff speaks English and they are ready to do all it takes to make you feel comfortable!
