Arizona is hot during the summer and as a result, it is common to have backyard pools in houses here. Unfortunately, not all pools are fenced or have a net or covering over it --- and during parties, kids have been found fighting for their lives when left unattended.

So, if ever you are in a friend's house in Arizona and thery have a pool, make sure you pay a close watch on your child even if the pool is fenced. Kids have a way of finding themselves into the water!

The Fire Department has launched several pool safety programs in Arizona because of yearly deaths from prevenetable drowning.
