The Buddha Bar in Thamel is a lovely place to relax, have a few drinks and meet some local people. It is quite new, according to the co-owner we met there. They play good music, and it does get very busy during week-ends.
They call their bar a Chillout Lounge, and that is very much the case.
I can recommend this bar anytime.
