Spirit of Aloha: "Ready to Luau" Top 5 Page for this destination Orlando Restaurant Tip by cjg1

Orlando Restaurants: 528 reviews and 658 photos

Spirit of Aloha is the Polynesian Luau Dinner and show at the Polynesian Resort. The show is outside under a big Polynesian wooden house. The food is served family style and you are seated with other guests at long rectagular tables. Upon checking in we received a greeting and a shell necklace placed over our heads. Our host brought us to our table. We were soon joined by some other guests at our table. Our drink orders were taken almost as soon as we got situated which was perfect for us. We were ready for a show and some good food. The food was served in platters. Some of the food that stuck out was the Mixed Greens with Mango Dressing, Pineapple-coconut Bread, Pineapple chunks, Pork ribs, Chicken, Polynesian Rice, Stir fried veggies. The food was excellent but the show was even better. Hula dancers, men dancing with fire batons and of course some charcters in full polynesian garb....

It was a nice night with good food and entertainment. I'm glad we took time and made reservations.

Pricing for the dinner show goes according to where you want to be seated. Liz has done this how before so she knew where we needed to be for all the fun. We sat in the Category 1 seating; which was $59.99 per person (adult price). Our table was right on the lower level in the canter and closest to the stage. We were close enough to feel like we were part of the show instead of just watching.

Favorite Dish: The pork ribs and the stir fry veggies.

Price Comparison: most expensive
Price: US$41 and up
Rating: 4
Theme: Pan-Asian and Pacific Rim
