The Cinnamon Club: "Dine at the Old Westminster Library" The Cinnamon Club Tip by Durfun

The Cinnamon Club, London: 5 reviews and 9 photos

The location is perfect for anyone around Westminster Abbey. However, be careful to look out for the numbers or you can easily walk past this elegant gem (there are no signs or hoardings for this elegant eaterie!)

As soon as you climb up the stairs you'll know you have arrived at a posh place, with a large copper basin on the left with rose petals floating in the water. This is outside the main door!

Go in, to be treated to a cool hallway with the reception. There is a library/bar to the left. The restaurant is further inside, to the right. There is a glass cabinet displaying the head chef's books.

Inside, you have a long dining room, with some sections to accommodate groups. There is even a section to eat in the higher (mezzanine) level. Old leather-bound book volumes surround you, reminding you of it's 'library' past.

The food is fusion French-Indian. Portions are on the small side, though the items are very inventive - enough to arouse curiosity & interest. Wine list is impressive. Service is very good.

The second bar downstairs is definitely worth a look, with excellent cocktails and funky music.

Favorite Dish: Tandoori prawns starter & brilliant guinea fowl main.

Signature cinnamon bellinis, which come with a cinnamon stick inside of course ;) Lovely :)

Nice filling desserts.
