"A hotel to AVOID" Hotel De La Plage Tip by cochinjew

A converted into a hotel from two adjoining houses, three stories high, normandien in architecture, run by a husband and wife team. more like an english bed and breakfast rather than a hotel ..
with no great charm and also more like a boarding home than a congenial atmosphere. the price is more than the other places in town and i wonder why.. we were duped by the website which showed fantastic pictures and from now on, we have decided that we will come and look for ourselves before settling in.. and not pay on line before hand

Unique Qualities: it is on a quiet street, rue pasteur, just a short walk from the beach and the Thalasso. the rooms are nice but not as spacious as one would imagine by looking at their internet site
friendly couple running the place.

there is a place to park the car but it would be 5 euros.
breakfast is available but it would be 9 euros per person.

they charge 77 euros per night, so you would imagine such things could come with the price, when the hotels are available in town for about 35 euros. toiletries in the bathroom are fitting of a 5 dollar guesthouse in cambodia. so there are some incongruities. but as a traveller i am happy to support a hard working couple make it in this very competetive business..( this was the only psychological comfort after wasting the money..)
there are hotels of the same standard for much less than half the price
