Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad's tomb is situated just few steps before the Eastern gateway of Jama Masjid. he was a freedom fighter. He was a journalist and a writer and is best known for his book 'India wins freedom'. He had become the Cabinet Minister of Education of independent India. He was buried here in 1958 in front of Jama masjid, the most popular mosque of India. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the tomb.
