"Lothian cemetary" Delhi Things to Do Tip by Rupanworld

Delhi Things to Do: 853 reviews and 2,092 photos

Lothian cemetery is the first British cemetery of Delhi dating back to early 1800s and members of Delhi's Christian community were buried in this old cemetery till 1867. There is an imposing memorial here, a huge Celtic cross, dedicated to the Europeans who were killed in Delhi during the first war of Indian Independence in 1857. The cemetary is in a state of neglect now.

Directions: Lothian Road near Kashmeri Gate
