Delhi Things to Do: 853 reviews and 2,092 photos

Located close to the Red Fort is the small but beautiful Sunehri Masjid. The three domes of the mosque were coated with gold, and so it was called Sunehri Masjid meaning Golden Mosque. It was built in 1721 by Roshan-ud-Daula Zafar Khan during the reign of Muhammad Shah.
The mosque has two minarets. In 1852, Bahadur Shah Zafar II got the mosque repaired and it was then that the golden coatings of the domes were replaced by sandstone facing.

Directions: At the corner of Red Fort, opposite the Netaji Subhash Park
