Mantigue. Gorgeous little island with a wrap-around white sand beach, turquoise waters and fish sanctuary for snorkelling. There's a sandbar at the northern side that made my jaw drop. We walked around the island in less than 20 minutes, found a corner to tie the hammock we borrowed from Enigmata and waited for the sunset. That's the best lazy day I had in Camiguin.
Pay 500 for a return boat trip, 20 pesos to get in the island.
A VT member warned about being robbed in Mantigue. We had our driver with us so we felt secure. But I remember, while we strolling around the island looking for the perfect spot, we chanced on a group of male caucasians huddled in a clearing obviously sharing a stick of grass. They said hi, we said hi and we moved on. No drama. But still, one must be careful.
