"Nigambodh gate" Delhi Things to Do Tip by Rupanworld

Delhi Things to Do: 853 reviews and 2,092 photos

The last existing gate of the old walled city of Shahjahanabad is the Nigambodh Gate. It was the northeastern gate of the city. This gate gets its name from the popular Nigambodh Ghat on Yamuna river which is close by. Legend has it that this ghat exists from the period of the Mahabharata and that on this ghat that Lord Brahma is believed to have taken bath and recovered his lost memory.

Address: On the Ring road near Yamuna Bazaar
