Ajmeri Gate was another gate of the city of Shahjahanabad built by Emperor Shah jahan. It was the Southwest gate of the old walled city. It is situated near the New Delhi Railway Station. The royal processions through this gate would lead to the city of Ajmer and from this the gate gets its name. Like most other gates, it is square in shape with an arched opening. It is situated in a busy area now

Directions: Close to the New Delhi Railway station
