"Honolulu Airport" Flights Tip by Etoile2B

Flights, Oahu: 15 reviews and 30 photos

If you are flying to the Hawaiian Islands your will likely stopover at the Honolulu Airport. While there are a limited number of airlines that fly directly from the mainland to Maui, Kauai and the Big Island, the majority of flights have a layover on Oahu. This is also true of most inter-island flights. Honolulu is the largest airport on the islands but it is still a small airport comparatively. This airport has a certain charm to it, being open-aired. Getting between terminals is easy. You can either walk, or take a ride on the inter-terminal shuttle. The great thing about this shuttle is that you don’t have to go through security again once you reach your new terminal. There are many shopping and dining options at the airport including many upscale shops. The dining options, unfortunately aren’t as exciting as the retail. I found the airport dining both overpriced and unappetizing so I would recommend getting a meal prior to arriving at the airport if you can.
