"BUSHWALKING AT WENTWORTH FALLS" Blue Mountains National Park Things to Do Tip by AusPinay
Blue Mountains National Park Things to Do: 175 reviews and 410 photos
Wentworth Falls is part of the Blue Mountains National Park and is just over an hour's drive from Sydney. It is a good place to start bushwalking before visiting Katoomba's Three Sisters and other sights there as the parking is free here and there are lots of picnic areas available with the usual amenities.
Another thing is Katoomba is very popular and always congested so it is a better alternative to go to in case you cannot find any parking space at Katoomba.
The real highlight of going to the Falls is not just the majestic falls but the trek going to this place. There are lots of scenic views, plenty of wildlife around and the route to the falls is lined with steep, sloping narrow pathways and of course, plenty of gum trees!
It is a wonderful experiencing going up and down the mountains to the falls. However, those with health problems are advised to beware and pace themselves as it can be hard for the very old and very young (kids)! Also, it is better to go there in winter or when the weather is not too hot.
Address: Wnetworth Falls, Blue Mtns, NSW
Directions: Take the m4 from Sydney centre and follow the signs. It can also be reached by train from Central stn.
