Fraiche: "Unpretientious Deliciousness" Los Angeles Restaurant Tip by Lhenne1

We met up with some friends one evening at Fraiche, a restaurant that bills its faire as “Rustic French and Italian,” in Culver City. The restaurant was a bit loud, but there wasn’t much talking once the food arrived. The menu changes with the season and depending on what ingredients the chef has on hand. Everything is very fresh.
Being that it was late fall, we started with a pumpkin soup which was excellent and warmed us up on the chilly evening (chilly by LA standards, at least). I enjoyed the lamb ($24) for dinner while my friends had the monk fish ($24), and the pork chop ($26). Dinners were a bit pricey; this is a special occasion place. Service was great, very friendly. Despite the price and high quality of food, Fraiche does not have the pretentious air you might expect.
Favorite Dish: Although the dinners were great, the pumpkin soup was very memorable.
Address: 9411 Culver Blvd, Culver City
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
