The Passeig de l'Àngel Guimerà is a road that runs parallel to the Carrer Major in Ribes de Freser, except for the fact that it is on the other side of the stream/river. This means that, although there is more modern development out here, you get better views of the surrounding hills and mountains than you would if you walked along the Carrer Major. Also, this is hardly a 1970's housing estate: there are plenty of quaint stone fountains and tasteful Pyrenean gardens and parks, as well as the fairly old stonework of the bridges and the guards on the river banks.
