The Dove: "Smallest bar in Britain" London Nightlife Tip by clouds111

London Nightlife: 1,242 reviews and 1,310 photos

The Dove in Hammersmith is one of a number of bars along the Thames and is one of the oldest in London, built in the 17th century and it oozes history. James Thomson who wrote Rule Britannia was said to have wrote it here.

It also lays claim to the smallest bar in Britain being only 4 ft. 2ins by 7ft. 10ins, fortunately though that is only one part of it and there is plenty of room in the rest of the bar.

Great little pub and a good place to watch the annual Oxford and Cambridge boat race if you can get in of course!

Directions: Upper Mall next to Furnival Gardens. Nearest tube station is Hammersmith
Theme: Eating and Drinking
