"Dunrobin Castle Gardens" Golspie Things to Do Tip by scottishvisitor

Golspie Things to Do: 8 reviews and 25 photos

Dunrobin Castle Gardens cover an extensive area and contain a multitude of plants, trees and flowers. The garden was modeled on the famous one of Varsailles and were laid out in 1850. In Summer entrance is included with the Castle Tour Ticket, but in Winter you can visit for free. I don't really get the point of a winter visit as the plants and trees will have died back, but the statues which I liked and which line one of the many paths would still be on show. We had a relaxing sunny stroll around the paths, I do like gardens and always find some of my favourite plants and flowers. I especially liked the lovely and fragrant lavender borders.
