It is incredible how these northerners come like leeches to the tourist places, like Pondichery and Cochin. I walked into the northern owned shirt and skirt store next to the bookstore. the staff was bordering on the rude, when i asked why the prices were in USD rather than the rupee the national currency of India? a shawl was priced at 77 USD of course these shysters need only one sucker per day to make their living.
In Cochin, I never enter a Northerner Owned or run store and the Jew town there is full of Kashmiris. Better patronize Tamoul owned stores after all you are in TamoulNadoo..
Avoid the stores around the Park owned by Northern Indians: they are leeches, greedy and rude
