From here, you can contemplate the meaning of life as you stare out across the water into the setting sun. Or, more mundanely, just walk along the sand and enjoy the great view. East down the coast from here, a suspension bridge spans the water between the north shore and the tree-lined northern edge of Stanley Park. Closer by, a short stone pier juts into the water, playing host to a native american statue with arms outstretched towards the water. To the right, and behind the shoreline, lights from upmarket housing developments wink in the dusk. In the summer this beach park is apparently a top sunbathing spot, although in November the sand is kind of damp and muddy brown in colour. Still, you can't have everything.
