Chicken Out is a high-end fast food restaurant, specializing in chicken. The menu is similar to the larger, national Boston Market with rotisserie chicken, chicken sandwiches, pot pies, salads, and numerous sides. Chicken Out adds a few additional items like chicken burgers and wraps.

We visited the Chicken Out location in Old Town on South Washington Street. I had the quarter chicken with dark meat, a biscuit, and stuffing, while Laura had the Asian chicken salad. The chicken was tasty and juicy, the stuffing also moist and delicious, and the biscuit not bad. Our meal for two including drinks ran us just under $20, a good deal for this area.

The restaurant is nice, clean, and spacious inside, but not as comfortable as a real sit-down restaurant. Of course, they bill themselves as fast food, so relaxing for an hour with your meal is not really the idea. They also cater events, and they claim you only have to give two hours notice.

Chicken Out started in Gaithersburg, MD, and has expanded to over 20 stores in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area.
