"London's Meeting Place" Trafalgar Square Tip by TexasDave
Trafalgar Square, London: 248 reviews and 447 photos
No matter when you pass through, you almost always see throngs of people milling around this enormous square. There is a vibe here similar to the Spanish Steps in Rome. It becomes even more populated during political rallies and New Year's Eve celebrations.
Surrounding the Square, which commemorates Admiral Lord Nelson who died in the Battle of Trafalgar fighting against Napoleon in 1805, are the National Portrait Gallery, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Admiralty Arch, and Charing Cross Station.
