Well a river might not be a thing to see. But for river Danube, I guess there might be a difference. This one river passes through many important cities and hence, I guess, it might be something worth seeing. The Danube river flows through ten countries, viz., Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine. It passes through important cities and many country capitals like Vienna (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia), Budapest (Hungary) and Belgrade (Serbia). Therefore it plays an important role in trade and tourism. It is known by various names in various languages across europe such as in Bulgarian, Croatian and Serbian as Dunav, Czech, Polish and Slovak as Dunaj, in German as Donau, Hungarian as Duna, Italian as Danubio, Slovenian as Donava, in Romanian as Dunãre, in Russian and Ukrainian as Dunay, in Latin as Danubius, Greek as Istros, Turkish as Tuna and finally in French as Danube, which is now the more accepted name. the Danube is the longest river in the European Union and the second longest in europe after the Volga.
