Rue du Taur is an interesting street that runs off of the Place du Capitole north towards Place Saint-Sernin and the Basilica of the same name. Chances are that if you?re visiting the city and its historic sites, you will find yourself on this street at least once, if not more. Rue du Taur, however, deserves a bit of attention on its own, as it highlights the wonderful blend of Mediaeval and modern, of study and leisure that so characterizes the culture of the city. On Rue du Taur you will find old churches, wonderful little bistros and restaurants (but do NOT eat at the Lebanese restaurant closest to the Place du Capitole ? not only do they rip you off, their food is horrible), incredible bookstores, ice cream shops and plenty of little souvenir stores were you can find the perfect knick-knack.

Address: Rue du Taur
Directions: At the north-west corner of the Place du Capitole
