Faraday station is the historical name of this scientific station built by the British Government and recently the station was sold for a symbolic price of just 1 GBP to the Ukraine, who re-named it Vernadski Station, after their famous scientist Vladimir Vernadski
Faraday station was also the place where the british team had found out about the hole in the Ozon-layer. We had a guided tour through the station and finally we ended up in the bar and in the southernmost souvenir-shop on Earth.

Postcards could be sent from here, they are using Ukrainian stamps, the stamp for a postcard to Europe was 2 US$ and I really wonder how long it will take for them to arrive in Vienna.
