To me the most impressive part was the central dome, shown in the first photo, which stretches over your head and seems high enough to produce clouds under it. It is being repaired at the moment so is partially obscured by the scaffolding, and it may be there for many years to come. Still it does not reduce the sheer size of it.
The second photo shows a ceiling that looks like it has graffitti on it, but not sure which was the first applied, the moslem frieze or the christian crosses.
Windows and columns surrounding the central area make for subdued lighting and many different "angles", each step you take presents you with another view.
