"Home from home" Hanwell House Tip by slapaman

Hanwell House, Banbury: 423 reviews and 0 photos

When I moved to Banbury in 2007, I stayed at Hanwell House, a very restful and quiet four star B&B one mile from the town centre. What a marvellous place ! The owners, Jan and Nigel Hanwell - and their two cats - made me feel at home within minutes. The room was very comfortable with TV and tea & coffee etc; they even invited me to have a beer with them ! The breakfast, which you pre-order the night before, was fabulous.

Unique Qualities: Very handy for the historic centres of Warwick, Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and the Cotswolds - yet only just over an hour from London by regular train service.
All in all I can recommend this place to anyone especially if looking for a stop-off between north and south of the country.
