National Museum, Prague: 66 reviews and 113 photos
The Czech Republic's national museum is a vast, sprawling collection covering almost every aspect of Czech history, science, culture and national identity. All of this is housed in a grand neo-renaissance building occupying a prime location at the top of Wenceslas Square. The coin collection alone contains over half a million objects.
The building itself bears the scars of history. It was damaged by bombs during World War 2, and battered by Soviet machine gun fire during the Velvet Revolution of 1968.
