"Sun Point Nature Trail/Baring Falls" Glacier National Park Things to Do Tip by PinkFloydActuary
Glacier National Park Things to Do: 178 reviews and 364 photos
This is a fairly flat and easy trail on the western side of Going-to-the-Sun. You start out in a fairly massive parking area, and can walk for a few minutes to the namesake (Sun Point), where you will be treated to views of St. Mary lake and the Continental Divide. There is also a nice view of Going to the Sun mountain. From there, you can continue along the trail, which heads along the lake. The trail does have some minor rock scrambling (as well as a push through some brush). After about 0.6 miles, you'll end up at the small but strong Baring Falls - there are a couple of different angles to check the falls out from. You can jump onto another path at this point, or head back to your car and continue forward via a vehicle.
