Mekong Hotel: "Mekong Hotel" Kampong Cham Hotel Tip by Carino

Mekong Hotel was the biggest hotel we stayed in all over Cambodia. It's located right at the Mekong River and is very popular amongst tour groups because of it's large size. The hallway is so wide you can easily use it to some team sports. However, the hotel can become very noise because the bathroom is facing the hallway and has an open window at the top of the wall. You can imagine that the noise of the drunken Aussies coming home is not what you want to hear in the middle of the night.

Unique Qualities: Apparently it is still the best hotel in town. Location is fine, pretty close to the Bus Station and some restaurants as well as the Bamboo Bridge (Dry Season) / "Harbor" (Wet Season).

Rooms come with fans, TV, bathroom with hot water and air con.

Make sure you ask for a room facing the Mekong River to enjoy the sunrise and the view.
