Opus 39: "A culinary experience." Opus 39 Tip by donpaul77

Opus 39, Saint Augustine: 1 reviews and 0 photos

Dining at Opus 39 is a culinary experience. The menu is pre fixe based on what the freshest local ingredients may be at the time. The decor is elegant and trendy at the same time and despite it's level of cuisine and service, the atmosphere is fairly relaxed. You will receive impeccable service from the people who will serve your meal (four to five courses with an optional cheese course) and from the wine steward who will help you select the wine to suit your tastes.

The pre fixe price was $65 per person when we were there, so depending on the wine you drink, the cost for two people might average around $200+.

Reservations are a good idea, if not required.

Favorite Dish: The menu changes based on supply of fresh ingredients, so I don't know if my favorite dish is relevant. You will have a choice from two to three items per course. I recommend getting the optional cheese course to clear your palate for desert. I think it is expected that you will drink wine, so embrace the experience and go back to the wine grotto. They have bottles and glasses to suit your tastes and budget. It was our honeymoon, so we opted for a very nice, earthy pinot noir.
