You may need a car to get here, as it is 5kms out of town. It is situated on the right hand side heading out of Brunei, parking is available on the left hand side.

This Museum is divided into individual galleries, and has good displays of Islamic Arts which show the origin of Brunei's culture.

Another good gallery is the display about Oil & Gas and the Shipwreck Gallery.
In 1997, they happened to find some ancient Chinese ceramics and recovered them from the seabed during an offshore oil pipeline survey and have them on display in the Museum.
The shipwreck was loaded with stoneware, porcelains, dating from the late 15th - 16th century which are believed to have originated from Thailand, Vietnam and China's Ming Dynasty

Being a museum, there was plenty of interest, old jewellery, tapestries and more.........
